KEEMPEE
LIVE IN LA & SAN DIEGO!
GMA PINOY TVs multi-awarded comedian, Keempee de Leon
is in Los Angeles and San Diego this August!
Keempee together with her fellow GMA PINOY TV artists
comedienne extraordinaire Gladys Guevarra and stand up comic,
singer, and now vice mayor Teri Onor with Dessa and Joseph
Gelito are geared up to give Southern California the wackiest
and funniest comedy concert ever in D BARKADS Live!
DBARKADS Live is on Friday, August 3 at the St. Genevieve
Church, Saturday, August 4 at the Grand Theater inside the
Los Angeles Trade Technical College, and Sunday, August 5
at the San Diego National Guard Armory.
Keempee de Leon, born Joseph Joachim de Leon to celebrity
parents Joey de Leon and Daria Ramirez, could well be the
most handsome face giving life to gay characters in film and
television. With his father, multi-talented artist Joey de
Leon, as his idol, its no wonder that a very masculine
guy like him could have the flair to make people laugh with
his unique brand of comedy.
As one of the industrys highly versatile actors, Keempee
can take on different roles -- be it a leading man, a yuppie
at work, a suitor in love or his newest staple, a homosexual.
He takes his profession seriously and is daring to embark
on projects that would require much creativity and energy.
Always referring to himself as a simple guy, Keempee said
he wouldnt have made it into showbiz if it werent
for the keen eye of Film Bastion/Producer Mother Lily Monteverde
who believed in his potential.
Apart from acting, Keempee is also adept at singing and
is never afraid to explore other facets of his talents. Often
seen sauntering the malls or watching movies by himself, this
actor likes to take time off for himself but is very generous
and dedicated to his family as well.
Throwing huge laughs in the GMA primetime sitcom Bahay Mo
Ba To and noontime program Eat Bulaga, Keempee truly
gives his best in everything he does.
Keempee is a recipient of numerous acting awards both in
comedy and drama: Highly Commended, Best Comedy Performance
by an Actor at the Asian TV Awards 2006; Best Supporting Actor
in a Comedy Series at the 2005 Golden Screen Awards; Best
Actor in a Comedy Series at the 2005 Star Awards for Television
and Best Actor in a Drama Series at the 1995 Star Awards for
Television.
